The Business Analyst is responsible for driving sales enhancement initiatives and providing sales strategies and process improvement for the RDP. He or she will work closely with the leadership team to analyze market dynamics and sales trends to identify improvement opportunities and convert them into initiatives. The role requires the individual to learn RDP’s product offerings, sales methodologies and RDPs' extensive Sales playbook.

Responsibilities

  1. Identifying and analyzing business needs and opportunities for improvement within the hardware industry.

  2. Developing and maintaining business and financial models to support decision-making within the hardware industry.

  3. Conducting market research and analyzing industry trends to identify potential new business opportunities.

  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements for new hardware products or product enhancements.

  5. Communicating and presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.

  6. Supporting the development and implementation of new hardware products or product enhancements.

  7. Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics of existing hardware products to identify areas for improvement.

  8. Developing and maintaining product pricing and cost models to support pricing decisions.

  9. Identifying and managing external partners, vendors or suppliers that can provide critical components or services to the hardware products.

  10. Continuously learning about new technologies and industry developments to stay current with the hardware industry.


Requirements

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and analyze business needs and opportunities for improvement within the hardware industry.

  2. Strong financial modeling skills to develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making.

  3. Strong research skills to conduct market research and analyze industry trends to identify new business opportunities.

  4. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.

  5. Strong project management skills to coordinate and support the development and implementation of new hardware products or product enhancements.

  6. Strong understanding of hardware products and the manufacturing process.

  7. Strong knowledge of product pricing and cost models to support pricing decisions.

  8. Strong knowledge of the hardware industry, including market trends, competitors and regulatory environment.

  9. Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics.

  10. Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot.
