Responsible for supplier development and corrective actions. Supports the manufacturing process by ensuring commodities used in producing products are readily available, meet quality requirements, and are cost efficient. Evaluates supplier capabilities to ensure production output can meet the company demand in both normal and abnormal supply conditions (i.e. multiple sourcing, geographic diversity). Works with other quality functions to audit suppliers as appropriate to ensure performance to the company quality objectives.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the definition and execution of sourcing strategy for assigned materials.
Identification of potential suppliers and finalization of suppliers based on consideration of norms
Procuring quotation from identified supplier, Comparison of quotation of suppliers and preparation of comparative report.
Collaborate with functional teams and peers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials while optimizing cost, lead-time, and quality.
Oversees the Supplier Relationship Management process for critical suppliers, with focus on sustainable improvements in cost, on-time delivery, pay terms, and quality.
To obtain the fair price for the material by comparing the quotes and negotiations.
Drives innovation and integration of new supplier technologies and company quality initiatives into product design and manufacturing.
Lead negotiation efforts, including agreements/contracts for critical suppliers.
Analyze proposals and negotiate best price, service, and delivery terms for products and services.
Document and improve Sourcing processes and methods.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent. (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)
1-3 years of relevant experience in Sourcing of IT Hardware components.
Conducting reviews of material specifications and hardware and electrical component design and manufacturing processes.
Ability to effectively communicate procurement architectures, plans,proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
Demonstrated strength in data analytics and process improvement skills
Sound knowledge of sourcing processes and experience leading contract negotiations
Clear, energetic, and engaging presentation and communication skills.
Negotiation skills and costing knowledge is required.
Immediate joiner is preferred.
Analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems and use good judgment.
