Responsibilities

  1. Vendor Communication: Establish and maintain communication with vendors via designated WhatsApp groups to stay updated on current market prices for various components.

  2. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct regular market research to gather insights into the pricing trends and availability of key components from vendors and distributors.

  3. Unlisted Component Sourcing: Identify components unavailable directly with vendors, coordinate with them, and align with the internal sourcing team to procure necessary materials.

  4. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and distributors, including Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) like AMD and Intel, to obtain accurate and up-to-date pricing information for components.

  5. Product Costing: Assist in determining the overall product costs by analyzing and compiling component pricing, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing strategies.

  6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of communications with vendors, pricing data, and procurement statuses. Prepare reports for management on market trends and cost updates.

  7. Relationship Management: Build and nurture positive relationships with vendors and distributors to ensure smooth communication and efficient material procurement.

  8. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the internal sourcing and procurement teams to streamline the process of acquiring materials and meeting project requirements.

  9. Support in Quotation Preparation: Provide the presales team with accurate cost inputs to assist in preparing competitive and precise client quotations.

  10. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, pricing dynamics, and vendor capabilities to improve the presales process and contribute to achieving organizational goals.



Requirements

  1. Educational Background: A degree in engineering, business, or a related field with a keen interest in presales or market analysis.

  2. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, distributors, and internal teams to gather and relay critical information.

  3. Market Awareness: Knowledge or willingness to learn about market trends, pricing strategies, and component availability, especially for ODMs like AMD, Intel, etc.

  4. Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze market data, compare prices, and provide insights for accurate product costing and competitive pricing strategies.

  5. Vendor Relationship Management: Proficiency in building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and distributors to ensure smooth operations.

  6. Collaboration Skills: Strong teamwork skills to coordinate with internal sourcing teams and ensure alignment with procurement goals.

  7. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities like vendor communication, market research, and reporting.

  8. Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of computer components and technology (e.g., processors, memory) or a willingness to learn technical aspects of the products.

  9. Proficiency in Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and communication platforms like WhatsApp for efficient data tracking and communication.

  10. Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving procurement or pricing issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams.
