Yes for Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (like 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019)

No for Microsoft Desktop Windows Operating System (like Win 7/8) (But Require Equivalent Third Party Terminal Services- not recommended, only for testing purpose)

To properly license RDP Thin clients in a Microsoft environment, certain CAL's are needed for each Thin client seat, along with certain OS running on the host computer. Regarding the host machine, you have the option of running supported edition of Server 2008R2, Server 2012, Server 2012R2, Multipoint Server 2011 or MultiPoint Server 2012, Server 2016, Server 2019.

In order for the RDP Zero client workstations to be fully licensed, they will each need a Remote Desktop Services Client Access License (RDS CAL) along with a Windows Server Client Access License (WS CAL).

RDS CAL : is composed of (a)Per User (b)Per device (Note: RDS CAL means buying Per user or buying per device. any one among two is ok for AL-200)

Finally: if a customer want to buy a 30 User seating, he need:

Sharing: One server OS license + For each client device: (1 RDS device CAL(per user/per device & 1 Windows Server device CAL)

Client Access Licenses are not applicable here, we need to install third party multi users connection patch
