The Challenge
Biocon, one of India’s largest biopharmaceutical companies, runs an IT environment where intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and operational uptime all sit on the same critical-path list. A full-fat Windows desktop on every seat is a security and manageability headache; a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) architecture simplifies both — provided the endpoint is right. Biocon needed a standardised thin-client/mini-PC endpoint that was secure, serviceable, and priced for volume.
The Deployment
Biocon ran a multi-vendor evaluation. RDP’s Mini PC came out ahead on the combination of thermal design, low-power draw, VDI protocol support, deployment simplicity, and total cost of ownership. Over 1,000 RDP Mini PCs were rolled out across the Biocon environment as the standard VDI endpoint — with centralised imaging, consistent device identity, and a single support pathway.
The Outcome
Biocon got what it went looking for: complete VDI standardisation, a tighter security posture, and an endpoint fleet that IT can manage as a cohort rather than as 1,000 individual desktops. The units have held up under daily load with the reliability profile the business needed.

The RDP Mini PC is a compact, low-power desktop form factor engineered for VDI, digital signage, kiosk, and focused-task workloads.
